Planet Pit Spins To The U.S.
The rappper/singer/songwriter/record producer put out his sixth studio album, Planet Pit, last June. The release debuted at No. 7 on the Nielsen SoundScan chart and features several hit tracks including his No.1 single “Give Me Everything.” Produced by Dr. Luke, RedOne, Max Martin and David Guetta, Planet Pit is packed with guest appearances including Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Rowland, Chris Brown, T-Pain, Sean Paul, Ne-Yo and Afrojack. Planet Pit is available on iTunes for only $7.99 now through May 7.
The U.S. leg of the “Planet Pit World Tour” begins July 26 in Chicago at Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island. The last confirmed U.S. date on the itinerary is Aug. 11 in San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
Stop on the way to The City by the Bay include Cleveland at Jacobs Pavilion At Nautica July 29; Atlanta’s Chastain Park Amphitheatre July 31; Albuquerque, N.M., at Hard Rock Casino Aug. 4; Chula Vista, Calif., at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre Aug. 7; and Las Vegas at Red Rock Resort Amphitheatre Aug. 10.
This month Pitbull has a few U.S. festival appearances on his schedule including Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis May 5; KIIS FM Wango Tango in Carson, Calif., May 12; and KTUphoria in Holmdel, N.J., at the PNC Bank Arts Center May 20. European dates are booked in June and July. Japan and Australia shows are planned for later this year.
