Timothy B. Schmit Has His Own Tour To Do

You’re going to get a lot of Timothy B. Schmit when he launches his spring tour next month, including solo selections as well as gems from the Eagles and Poco.

Promising selections from his 2009 album Expando along with a mix of Eagles and Poco tunes, Schmit and his band launch their spring adventure in Cherokee, Texas, at the Cherokee Creek Music Festival May 19. Other stops include Austin at La Zona Rosa May 22; Washington, D.C., at The Hamilton May 28; Annapolis at Rams Head On Stage June 4; Pittsburgh at the Three Rivers Arts Festival June 6 and Newton, N.J., at the Newton Theatre June 9.

“What I like best about doing solo shows is it gives me a chance to interact with the audience in a smaller, more intimate setting,” Schmit said in a statement. “But don’t get me wrong. I very much enjoy being a part of the Eagles and all it implies. For instance, as of writing this, I find myself in a hotel in the exotic city of Dubai where we (the Eagles), will end a short tour that started in South Africa. After a few more scattered shows in the U.S., I look forward to taking my own band out on the road and having a completely different experience.  I’m a fortunate man.  I get the best of both worlds.”
