Rising from the ashes of California punk band The Minutemen, fIREHOSE came into this world when Crawford began playing with Watt and Hurley. Beginning in 1986, fIREHOSE released five albums and two EPs before disbanding in 1994.

The upcoming collection – “lowFLOWs”: The Columbia Anthology (’91 – 93) features 45 tracks on 2 CDs plus two of the band’s Columbia albums, 1991’s Flyin’ The Flannel and Mr. Machinery Operator released in 1993. The collection also includes 15 tracks adding up to 45 minutes of out-of-print material and previously unreleased recordings. “lowFLOWs” drops April 3 through Columbia/Legacy.

The power trio gets busy two days after the anthology’s release, playing a series of West Coast dates beginning with Harlow’s in Sacramento April 5. Other stops include Portland, Ore., at Doug Fir Lounge April 6; Eugene, Ore., at WOW Hall April 10 and Fresno, Calif., at Fulton 55 April 13.

fIREHOSE will also play two Coachella dates – April 14 and 21. Sandwiched in between will be a few appearances with M. Ward – Solana Beach, Calif., at Belly Up Tavern April 16; Phoenix at The Crescent Ballroom April 17; Flagstaff, Ariz., at The Orpheum Theater April 18 and Tucson at Plush April 19.
