Allocco Released
Allocco has been held against his will for 49 days after being involved in the fallout following a Nas no-show. An Angolan concert promoter claimed to wire Allocco $300,000 to secure Nas for a New Year’s Eve gig. Things unraveled, Nas didn’t show, and the Angolan promoter had Allocco arrested until the funds were returned.
“An order was entered today (Feb. 17) by Angolan authorities lifting the travel band which prevented [Patrick] and his son from leaving the country for 49 days after [Nas] failed to show for a New Year’s Eve concert,” an Allocco representative said to TMZ.
The promoter and his son were escorted by U.S. Embassy officials to a flight that sent him to Lisbon and they are expected to arrive in New York tomorrow, Feb. 18.
Nas said he paid the money back weeks ago but there was a lot of governmental foot-dragging, TMZ said.
“We are relieved that this nightmare is over and are looking forward to coming home to our family and friends who have supported us with their prayers and optimism during this ordeal,” the rep said.
