Gaga In Japan

Lady Gaga flew to Japan just before Christmas to perform two songs on the TV Asahi program “Music Station,” and spent a few days schmoozing with fans and doing promotion for her new remix album.

Lady Gaga placates the mob of fans eagerly awaiting her arrival at Narita airport near Tokyo Dec. 20.

Her ties to the country have been strong since the earthquake last March, as evidenced by a remark made by U.S. ambassador to Japan John Roos.

He told told Forbes magazine, “I had breakfast with some U.S.-Japan think tank experts who said to me, Mr. Ambassador, what can we do to strengthen the strategic, economic and people-to-people relations between Japan and the United States? and I had one answer: Lady Gaga.”
