During a very emotional moment while performing last night at Salt Lake City’s Abravanel Hall, David Archuleta told the audience that he felt “very blessed” and that he felt the mission was what he needed to do next in his life.

“It’s just the same feeling I’ve always followed, tried to follow in my life,” Archuleta told his fans, saying he’s “learned to trust” that feeling.

You really got to admire someone willing to put fame and fortune aside to pursue a spiritual quest. Hopefully, he’ll set an example to today’s up-and-coming artists that there’s more to life than CD sales, sold out shows and seeing your name on the marquee.
