Another Last Night For Trans-Siberian Orchestra
As the name implies, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s 2000 concept album is all about Ludwig van Beethoven’s (fictional) last night of his life. The dramatic rock opera features Beethoven’s struggle with the devil over his soul, his life’s work and his tenth symphony (which was never actually completed).
An announcement from TSO notes that the 2012 tour will be fans’ last chance to see the group perform Beethoven’s Last Night before the release of their new album and accompanying tour in 2013.
The ongoing winter tour concludes Dec. 30 in Glendale, Ariz., at Jobing.com Arena.
The 2012 dates begin March 3 in Beaumont, Texas, at Ford Park Arena. Shows are booked through a March 13 gig in Battle Creek, Mich., at Kellogg Arena.
Among the many shows along the routing are performances in Baton Rouge, La. (March 7); Tallahassee, Fla. (March 9); North Charleston, S.C. (March 13); Knoxville, Tenn. (March 15); Madison, Wis. (March 17); Rio Rancho, N.M. (March 28); Fresno, Calif. (April 3); Yakima, Wash. (April 6); Rockford, Ill. (April 21); Fort Wayne, Ind. (April 25); Baltimore (April 29); Erie, Pa. (May 2); and Binghamton, N.Y. (May 10).
More Beethoven’s Last Night dates will be announced in early 2012.
