Britney’s Free Mexico City Gig
Mexico’s Federal District head Marcelo Ebard tweeted the news, saying the superstar will appear at the Monument To The Revolution Dec. 4.
Spears had something to say about the freebie as well, posting a message on her website inviting her Mexico City fans to the gig.
“I’ve had so much fun and received so much love from my fans all over the world while performing my Femme Fatale tour which I am grateful for,” Spears wrote. “I want to return some of that love so I’ve decided to give my fans in Mexico a special night and perform my Femme Fatale show for free.”
Mexico City played a crucial part in the singer’s early history. While on tour in 2002 Spears directed a middle finger salute towards a reporter, a gesture that has since been dubbed the “Britney Sign.”
