The Used Unveils Anniversary Plans

The Used will perform its 2002 self-titled debut album during its first night in each city while 2004’s In Love and Death is feted on the second evening. 

What could be better than two nights of The Used?  How about a new concert CD/DVD?  The Used: Live and Acoustic at The Palace documents the band’s intimate unplugged storyteller performance at The Palace Theatre in Los Angeles Oct. 11.  Hardly a typical performance, The Used brought in a four-piece string quartet and harpist, a piano player, percussion and a three-piece gospel choir.

“I think we really captured the night perfectly and listening back to the mixes it reminded me how music can allow us to be children once again and once you open yourself up to that emotion it’s like a virus, it’s contagious,” lead singer Bert McCracken said.  “Nearly every eye in the venue was weepy the night we played with the orchestra because these songs are so emotional and this recording is a truly special thing that I can’t wait for everyone to hear.  It still gives me goose bumps.”
