Dates Set For ‘Tracy Morgan: Picking Up the Pieces’

Tracy Morgan announces dates for his first tour since surviving the terrible June 2014 car accident that left him in a coma for two weeks. Today’s announcement comes after his triumphant return to “Saturday Night Live” as this past weekend’s guest host.

The comedian joked during his monologue that some folks had questioned if he had totally recovered from the crash, in which a Wal-Mart truck rear-ended the limo van Morgan was riding in, killing fellow comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair, as well as injuring Morgan and three other passengers. Morgan settled a lawsuit with Wal-Mart earlier this year.

“People were wondering, ‘Can he speak? Does he have 100-percent mental capacity?’ But the truth is I never did. I may even be a few [IQ ] points higher now,” Morgan quipped on “SNL.”

And now he’s ready to “bring the funny” to fans with his 2016 outing – “Tracy Morgan: Picking up the Pieces.” Dates are scheduled from early February through the end of May.

“It’s just like falling off a bike and getting back on, that’s all … you don’t forget where the pedals are,” Morgan says “People can expect more of what I did before. It’s me – funny plus truth equals Tracy Morgan. I can’t wait to get back to ya’ll; city to city, state to state, watch me operate.”
