Natalie Merchant In Person & On Film

The film “Paradise Is There, A Memoir By Natalie Merchant, The New Tiger Recordings”  will be released Nov. 6 by Nonesuch Records, the same day her new album, Paradise Is there: The New Tigerlily Recordings, arrives.

To know the album is to know the film.  The new LP features Merchant’s rerecording of her first solo effort, 1995’s Tigerlily.  The film, presented in memoir style, studies the impact those 11 songs had on Merchant and her audience.  Covering her entire career, the documentary uses live and archival footage as well as interviews to show Tigerlily’s influence on Merchant, her fans and fellow musicians.
