Aussie Tours: Nico & Vinz Rescheduled

Five club dates in November by Norway’s Nico & Vinz, announced Sept. 10 by Live Nation and Niche Productions, were within 24 hours rescheduled to 2016. The reason given was “an extension of recording commitments in the USA.”

The act was to play shows Nov. 9-14 in Australia and New Zealand. However, now they will visit both countries for promotion work behind their new album. “All parties are working to agree a new tour period for the region in early 2016,” said the statement.

In the wake of a local No. 2 album debut, Iron Maiden announced the Aussie arena run of The Book Of Souls Tour. The Dainty Group has them initially for five dates May 4-14. These are Maiden’s first dates Down Under since 2011, accompanied by London’s The Raven Age, which features Maiden bassist Steve Harris’ son George. The Australian shows will be preceded by two stopovers in New Zealand, at Christchurch’s Horncastle Arena April 29 and Auckland’s Vector Arena May 1.

After sold-out shows in Sydney and Melbourne thru September 2015, Chugg Entertainment brings Walk The Moon for its third visit downunder. The act does five theatres and clubs Jan. 21-31.

Ellie Goulding, in the country to perform at the Australian Football League’s Grand Final in Melbourne alongside Bryan Adams and Chris Isaak, will do a one-off show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre Oct. 4 through Frontier Touring,

Baltimore’s Future Islands added shows in Brisbane and Adelaide, Nov. 13 and Nov. 16. The band is the country to join Mumford and Sons for a sold-out Nov. 12 show at the Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, and Mumfords’ Gentlemen Of The Road show Nov. 24 at Sydney’s The Domain with Jake BuggThe Vaccines, The Jungle Giants, Meg Mac and Art of Sleeping.
