The Maine Kicks Off Free Tour
Drummer Pat Kirch says the tour was “an idea that we have had for years now and we finally pulled the trigger on it. It’s a way for us to say thank you to the people that have supported us for the past eight years.”
Fans who’d like to help the band cover gas money can donate via Square Cash’s website – but a note from the band says, “We appreciate your donations but this is not required! Your support has been enough.”
The tour is stopping by some unique venues including shopping malls and parks, along with Fresno’s very own Strummer’s.
Lead singer John O’Callaghan told CNN, “There have been a lot of questions like, ‘Do we need tickets?’ And it’s kind of weird to say, ‘No, just show up.’”
