It takes place for the second time at Trusts Arena in Auckland and on Feb. 20 – earlier than previously, “so we know the sun will be shining,” festival spokesperson Brotha D explained.

Also on the bill are Spawnbreezie, Boo Yaa T.R.I.B.E, Three Houses Down and Tomorrow People.

For the first time, the festival will be an all-ages event, with children younger than 14 allowed free entry if accompanied by an adult and “special ticket prices” for those 14-17.

After donating proceeds for the last two years to the charity Y For Youth, the 2016 event has appointed as is charity partner the Raukatauri Music Therapy Trust, which provides music therapy to special needs children.
