Movie ticket sales were at a historic high during the second quarter of 2015, according to the National Association of Theatre Owners.

Two films alone – “Jurassic World” and the latest “Avengers” flick – accounted for 42 percent of the total box office revenues for the quarter.
The average ticket price was $8.61, according to the organization. That surpasses the previous high ticket price, $8.38 from the second quarter of 2013.
