NFL At The Lane
The Daily Telegraph reported that the north London club and the NFL have reached a 10-year deal for two games a year, beginning when the new ground next to Spurs’ current home at White Hart Lane is completed in time for the 2018-19 season.
Plans for the new £400 million stadium, which also include a new hotel and 579 new homes, show changing rooms in both the East and West stands.
The ones in the East stand are larger and presumed to be for the 50 players and 20 or so coaches that NFL teams require. Both Spurs and London rivals Chelsea, which is also planning a new stadium, are wanting to play their home games at London’s Wembley Stadium while the building works take place.
Spurs has denied it’s in negotiation to sell the club, playing down persistent rumours that Facebook founder and chairman Mark Zuckerberg is keen to get involved.
