Romantic Fall Nights With Nate Ruess

“Gahhhhh. Release week has been one of the most exhausting weeks of my life – but also the most fulfilling. I had the time of my life. This I swear. It’s so true. And I owe it all to you,” Ruess posted on Facebook earlier today. “Wednesday at Webster Hall was a highlight in life for me. Seeing how many people already knew the words to all the songs on Grand Romantic wasn’t as surprising as it was cathartic. And the Today Show is always a blast- despite the early call time.

“My body is trying to shut down on me (particularly my face!) but I’m pushing through till the end of this week. Nothing has ever been more worth a return bout with Mono. To those of you that can’t make it to any of the upcoming dates in Toronto or Los Angeles, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be hitting the road in the fall for some more dates.”

Rolling Stone gave Grand Romantic 3.5 stars in its review, writing, “With fun. on hiatus, this album offers him a chance to work on his craft, stretch out vocally and really get his Queen on, going to war against whatever gets him down with battle-armored bohemian rhapsodies.”

Beck makes a guest appearance on the track “What This World Is Coming To” while Jeff Tweedy plays guitar on the tune “Take It Back.”

As Ruess mentioned on Facebook, his next gigs are in Toronto and Los Angeles, beginning with tonight’s show at Toronto’s Opera House Concert Venue. Here is the fall schedule, including previously announced sets at Boston Calling, Landmark Music Festival and Austin City Limits Music Festival.
