John Cleese & Eric Idle Have Their Own Tour
According to the tour’s website, Cleese and Idle “will blend scripted and improvised material with storytelling, musical numbers, exclusive footage, aquatic juggling and extended audience Q&A.” That doesn’t really tell you if audiences will be subjected to dead parrots, some wickedly good “nudge, nudge” or even a visit from Stig O’Tracy, but one can always look on the bright side of life.
Both Cleese and Idle commented on the fall tour, saying that the Florida shows are “a deliberate ploy to score a free vacation … England is very dreary come October.”
Idle added that the tour is playing the Sunshine State so that he and Cleese can “seek our peer group of the elderly avoiding winter.”
