Australia: KISS, Giorgio Moroder

Booked through One World Entertainment, KISS stops at Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane Oct. 3-13. Opening are Australian-U.S. hard rock supergroup The Dead Daisies, which joined KISS on its U.S. run last year, and again in Europe this June. Frontier Touring has Imagine Dragons returning to arenas Sept. 2-10.

Electro godfather Giorgio Moroder, who opens for Kylie Minogue’s Kiss Me Once tour (five arenas, March 14-21) additionally does three club dates of his own late March in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. These are also booked through Frontier Touring, which has the Minogue tour. 

Ben Howard rescheduled his tour for Secret Sounds, citing changes to his band. The first two dates, at the Sydney Opera House March 29 and Bluesfest April 2, were canceled. Theatre shows in Sydney, Perth and Fremantle were moved to May 30 to June 3, with an extra Brisbane theatre date at the Tivoli announced for May 28.

Bluesfest, which had earlier also lost Lenny Kravitz, replaced the two international acts with Aussie acts Angus & Julia Stone, Boy & Bear, and Sticky Fingers. Jurassic 5 will play an additional show to cover.

Live Nation added a second Melbourne show for Motley Crue / Alice Cooper at Rod Laver Arena May 13.

In between stints for the regional Groovin’ The Moo tour, A$AP Ferg pulls in headliners – four clubs April 24 to May 10, and two stops in New Zealand’s Auckland and Wellington — for Live Nation and Niche.

After selling out most of its last tour, US post-hardcore group Dance Gavin Dance does clubs May 14-23 behind the Instant Gratification album.

Metropolis Touring and Tombowler bring Swedish metal act Opeth back for theatres May 3-8.
