Foo Fighters Cancel NZ Benefit After Crash

Foo Fighters canceled a Feb. 20 charity show at Auckland Town Hall after an equipment truck crashed on its way from Christchurch, New Zealand.

Frontier Touring rushed replacement gear from Los Angeles for the next night’s  show.

The benefit, announced earlier that week and sold out in 30 minutes, was for the New Zealand Music Foundation, which uses music to help the disadvantaged. In March 2011, the Foos played Auckland Town Hall and raised NZ$354,903 ($266,591) for Christchurch Earthquake Recovery.
