Testament Announces ‘Dark Roots Of Thrash II’
Testament is going deep into its legacy on the upcoming “Dark Roots Of Thrash II” tour by serving up start-to-finish treatments of its 1987 album The Legacy and 1988’s The New Order. The setlist will also include select tracks from 1989’s Practice What You Preach.
The upcoming tour also marks the “reintroduction” of bassist Steve DiGiorgio who played on 199’s The Gathering and 2001’s First Strike Still Deadly. The adventure also includes the live debut of Alex Skolnick’s new signature ESP guitars and Budda amps.
“The stars have finally aligned,” Testament vocalist Chuck Billy said. “After almost 30 years of touring, Testament and Exodus get to share our individual styles of thrash metal across the U.S. and Canada. The Day of Reckoning is here and coming to a town near you. Good times with good friends – heavy metal forever!”
