Gregg Allman announces his spring plans as the Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer plots a run through the Midwest along with stops in Florida, California, Texas and Arizona.

By the time this tour begins Allman will know if he has another Grammy to add to his trophy shelf.  He’s nominated for Best American Roots Performance for his appearance with Taj Mahal on “Statesboro Blues” on 2014’s Gregg Allman: All My Friends.   The Allman Brothers Band snagged a 1996 Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental for “Jessica” and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.

The upcoming tour will feature Allman and his band performing with opening acts as well as doing the “evening with” thing.  Appearing in Allman’s band are guitarist Scott Sharrard, keyboardist Peter Levin, drummer Steve Potts, percussionist Marc Quinones, bassist Ron Johnson and horn players Jay Collins, Art Edmaiston and Marc Franklin.
