Diana Krall Sets Summer ‘Wallflower’ Dates
Originally planned to begin last fall, Krall’s tour in support of her new Wallflower album was delayed when the songstress experienced some health problems. Now she has a calendar packed with dates stretching all the way to the end of August.
Produced by mega-Grammy winner David Foster, Wallflower features Krall’s interpretations of classic pop songs, including The Mamas & The Papas’ “California Dreamin’,” 10cc’s “I’m Not In Love,” and Elton John’s “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.” Krall also offers her take on a couple of Eagles tunes – “Desperado” and “I Can’t Tell You Why.” The album’s title track is Krall’s version of the Bob Dylan classic. Wallflower arrives Feb. 3 on Verve Records.
Krall will hit a couple of TV shows in early February. You can see her on “Live! With Kelly and Michael Feb. 2 and on “The Late Show With David Letterman” Feb. 3. Krall’s “Late Show” appearance will be her last performance on the program before Letterman leaves in May.
