Wakarusa Begins Naming Names
Billed as “where music meets Mother Nature,” the annual festival is planned for June 4-7 at Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Ark. Although Wakarusa launched tickets sales in November, it did not give so much as a hint in regards to who had already been booked for 2015. Now organizers have a very long list of acts to share with you. What’s more, they’re saying it’s only the “round one” announcement. According to the festival’s poster, the next batch of artists will be revealed Jan. 14.
In addition to the acts listed in the first graph, the lineup also includes Quixotic, Savoy, Thomas Jack, Trigger Hippy, The Expendables, Reptar, The Revivalists, Conspirator, Old 97’s, Split Lip Rayfield, Jamestown Revival, Minnesota and others, all heartily approved by Wakarusa’s No. 1 fan, Sassy The Sasquatch.
In other Wakarusa items, organizers recently announced “Mulberry Mountain Is My Muse,” an art grant program to promote the creative and artistic community within the festival via funded art grants.
Tickets, including full event passes, VIP, camping and RV passes, are on sale now. Check out Wakarusa.com for what you need to know.
What’s that? Still sitting on the fence regarding Wakarusa 2015? Perhaps this short film titled “A Day In The Life” will lure you out of your home for a Mulberry Mountain-bound road trip.
