Damien Rice’s ‘Faded Fantasy’ Journey
Folks can’t say enough nice things about Rice’s new album. Produced by Rice and Rick Rubin, My Favourite Fantasy was declared “An instant classic of extraordinary beauty and vulnerability” by London’s The Sunday Times. The Los Angeles Times praised the long player as being “full of grippingly intimate confessions from a songwriter unafraid to present himself and his flaws.”
But perhaps the biggest praise came from Associated Press’ Ron Harris who advised music fans to “Savor every second because talents as pure as Damien Rice don’t come along every other Tuesday. His musical aim on My Favourite Faded Fantasy is true and the songwriting is some of the year’s best.”
Rice’s U.S. adventure begins in Atlanta and concludes in Los Angeles. Stops in between include Nashville, Indianapolis, Seattle, Philadelphia and Boulder, Colo. Here’s the itinerary:
