Placebo Brings Loud Shows To the U.K.
June 2016 will mark 20 years since the release of the British alternative rock band’s self-titled debut. The LP includes five singles, including “Nancy Boy” and “36 Degrees.”
Two decades is a big deal. After all, the act fronted by Brian Molko has survived “nearly 20 years of love, hate, blood, sweat, tears, break ups and harmony.”
Last week the group wrapped the North American leg of its album campaign in support of its 7th studio album, 2013’s Loud Like Love.
The guys have a few more 2014 dates to play, including Saturday’s show in Coruna, Spain, and two nights in Portugal next week.
Here’s the plan for the U.K. and Ireland, with support from The Mirror Trap:

Plus, the pre-order for Molko’s retrospective lyric book began today at BrianMolko.com. Due to overwhelming demand, fans crashed Moko’s website Friday. To make up for the issues, Placebo’s people arranged a brand new web server to handle the preorders and have arranged an additional 100 personalized and 100 signed hard copies of the book, which will go on sale Nov. 5. Brian Molko – Selected is made up of his own selection of lyrics from Placebo’s career.
