So, which buddies will be performing at the 2014 edition of the “Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays” benefit concert?
We’re glad you asked. Co-hosted by Rosie O’Donnell and Laverne Cox, the show features 50 Cent, Natalie Maines, Patty Griffin, Salt-N-Pepa, Sufjan Stevens, Emily West, STRFKR, Liv Warfield, Hoda Kotb.
The 4th annual concert is set for Dec. 6 at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. All proceeds go to underwrite the True Colors Fund’s many programs, which are focused on LGBT homelessness in America.
Of course, True Colors Fund co-founder Lauper will take the stage as well.
“For the fourth year in a row, ‘Home for the Holidays’ will feature an amazing night of performances in support of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth experiencing homelessness,” said Lauper. “I am astounded by the artists who continue to give of their time and talent each and every year and I am so excited by the line-up who are joining us in December. The concert plays such an important role in supporting the True Colors Fund’s work to ensure that no young person is homeless again because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Neil Hamburger, Tim Heidecker and Sarah Silverman will provide the laughs. Plus, a surprise guest comedian is yet to be announced. As for music, Mike Watt & The Secondmen are your men, along with The Everday Visuals (with Pierre de Reeder of Rilo Kiley).
Proceeds benefit Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Everytown for Gun Safety, the country’s largest gun violence prevention organization.
“Music and comedy are powerful ways to reach people – we are so grateful to the performers who will use their talents to bring people together, educate them on the problem of gun violence and ask them to take action to save lives,” said co-producer Maccabee Montandon. “Gun violence is often a hard issue to talk about –this event is a way to let people know we are all human, we can crack a few smiles while also trying to raise awareness for a serious issue. Fun Lovers Unite is just one example of the grassroots momentum across this country calling for gun sense.”
