Foo Fighters At Wrigley Field

Knock knock. Who’s there? Foos, that’s who! After playing the 1,500-capacity Cubby Bear last Friday, the Foo Fighters will return to Chicago next summer to play for a few more fans. To be exact, Wrigley Field’s capacity is pegged at 42,495.

Dave Grohl & Co. are taking over The Friendly Confines Aug. 29. A special guest is yet to be announced.

The gig is part of the band’s “Sonic Highways World Tour” in support of its new LP due out Nov. 10. The eight tracks on Sonic Highways were each recorded in a different city with local guest artists. The album creation process was filmed for the band’s eight-party TV documentary, “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways,” which premiered on HBO last week.

So far the 2015 world tour includes stops in South Africa, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

Presale tickets for Wrigley Field begin Friday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. CDT. The general onsale is scheduled Monday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. CDT.
