LN Launches TV Fest

Live Nation has partnered with Channel 4 and Box TV for a new UK festival that’s guaranteed a TV screening. 

The event will be called Platform Festival and run over two weeks in Manchester’s  at the end of February and the beginning of March 2015. At press time the dates hadn’t been finalized.

Organisers expect to sell 75,000 tickets for the Warehouse’s three venues, which have capacities of 4,500, 1,450 and 350.

There will be a series of performances aired across Channel 4 and Box TV with weekly hour-long best-of shows and 10 half-hour artist specials.

It hasn’t been revealed at what times the programs will be aired.

“Live Nation’s expertise from the world of live music coupled with the incredible music broadcasting from Channel 4 and Box TV, means this will be a fantastic opportunity for artists to engage with a huge audience,” said LN president of European concerts John Reid.
