Sam Smith’s Arena Adventure
Smith certainly has moved up in room size. Just last month he was playing venues such as Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre which sports a capacity just shy of 6,000. When Smith returns to Southern California he’ll headline the recently upgraded Forum in Inglewood that lists an official cap of 17.500. Other venues on Smith’s 2015 journey include New York’s Madison Square Garden, Toronto’s Air Canada Centre and Boston’s Agganis Arena.
Smith’s rush to the top has been fueled in part by his debut album, In The Lonely, that has sold like crazy since its release earlier this year, what with singles such as “Lay Me Down,” “Stay With Me” and the recently issued “I’m Not The Only One.”
“It’s been my dream to play some of these venues,” Smith said. “I’m so appreciative of how American audiences have embraced my music. I’m thrilled to come back to the U.S. again. This is starting to feel like home!”
