Bryan Ferry In The U.K.
The tour announcement comes two weeks after Ferry revealed details about his upcoming album, Avonmore. Containing eight new songs and two covers, the LP includes several of his friends guesting on the album. Johnny Marr, Nile Rodgers and Marcus Miller are featured throughout the disc while Flea, Ronnie Spector, Mark Knopfler and Maceo Parker are referred to as a “shifting cast.”
Along with new songs such as “Soldier Of Fortune,” “One Night Stand” and first single “Loop De Li,” Avonmore has Ferry lending his impeccable stylings to Stephen Sondheim’s “Send In The Clouds” and Robert Palmer’s “Johnny and Mary,” the latter resulting from a collaboration with Norwegian DJ/producer Todd Terje. Avonmore will be released Nov. 17.
