Brand Sparkling New Neil Diamond Dates

Update: Neil Diamond’s world tour launches in Allentown, Pa., in late February. With stops including Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago and Mexico City, ticket sales begin in mid-October.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is getting ready to release Melody Road, which is due out on Capitol Oct. 21. The LP is his first collection of original tunes since 2008’s Home Before Dark. In the past few years Diamond released his third holiday album, A Cherry Cherry Christmas, along with the covers collection Dreams.

Melody Road was co-produced by Blue Note President Don Was and Jacknife Lee.

“It takes tremendous vision, focus and determination – combined with a mega-dose of God-given talent, charisma and soul – to create music that becomes indelibly ingrained in the fabric of our culture,” Was said. “For decade after decade, Neil’s songs have been such a major part of our lives. Making this record with him has served as a profound reminder of what a powerful and amazing artist he truly is.”
