Øxner Calls It A Day At Roskilde
Even before joining the 85,000-capacity festival and then taking over the talent booking duties from Leif Skov, she’d attended the famous outdoor as a punter for 10 years.
“I came to work here straight out of university and have never done anything else, so I decided it’s now or never if I want to try my skills and energy at something else,” she told Pollstar. “I’ve loved my time here and worked with some great bands and some great people.”
Øxner says she’s already had some meetings and has been offered positions, but promised herself she wouldn’t be in any hurry to decide what to do next.
She will remain on the board of Yourope, the European festivals’ organisation, until it meets again at next year’s ILMC.
The talent booking side of her job will now be carried out by Anders Wahren, who originally joined Roskilde straight from university, and is returning after spending three years at Live Nation Denmark.
