Both festivals are booked by Live Nation offshoot Luger.
One of the big plusses for this year’s WOW was its new daytime conference, which drew more than 1,000 delegates to its first edition.
The 45 speakers included Melvin Benn, head of UK-based Festival Republic, who provided one of the best sessions when discussing the state of the outdoor market with Roskilde Festival veteran Henrik Rasmussen.
The Way Out West lineup in Gothenburg Aug. 7-9 included Outkast, Queens of the Stone Age, The National, Robyn & Röyksopp, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Janelle Monáe.
