WOMAD NZ Funding Continues
The WOMAD festival was among 40 arts organisations receiving NZ$27 million ($23 million) in funding over the next three years by Creative New Zealand.

It was the first funding decisions by the new Arts Council that came into effect this May. The festival will receive NZ$20,000 ($17,030) toward staging.
Other recipients involving contemporary music included NZ$267,856 ($227,931) to Audio Foundation’s Altmusic series of shows, NZ$90,000 ($76,630) for Rockquest Productions to stage music events by school-age musicians, and NZ$75,000 ($63,860) for the New Zealand School of Music for an artist in residence.
