Wacken 10 For 10
That beats the 48 hours it took to sell out this year’s 25th edition, which took place July 31 to Aug. 2 with a bill headed by Accept, Slayer, and Avantasia.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage, Running Wild, U.D.O., In Flames, Sabaton, and In Extremo are among the handful of bands confirmed for 2015.
As the promoters assume that there will be some double-bookings and cancellations because of missed due dates for payment, anyone who missed out on getting a ticket can register online to join a waiting list for any returns.
The 75,000-capacity event, which takes place annually in the small village of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany, has now sold out 10 years in a row.
“We are absolutely overwhelmed. We would like to thank all our fans for their amazing support and loyalty,” said festival promoter Thomas Jensen.
This year’s WOA lineup also had Children Of Bodom, Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth, Motorhead, and Saxon.
