Tuscaloosa Tough On Tickets
The city of Tuscaloosa, Ala., is staying tough on ticket scalpers, with its city council approving a law that requires anyone reselling tickets to get a license from city hall.
The license will cost $100 for each member of ticket resale businesses as well as for runners who purchase tickets from other individuals, according to the Tuscaloosa News.
Under the law, ticket resellers are required to display the licenses while conducting business. The city has been licensing ticket resellers, mainly for University of Alabama football games, since the ’70s.
The city of Auburn, Ala., imposed a $155 license for resellers earlier this month.
