Eventim Tops Ticketing League

Eventim subsidiary TicketOne is also doing OK in Serie A, the Italian premier soccer league, as a dozen of Lottomatica’s customers play in the country’s top division.

They include Juventus, Roma, Lazio, Napoli, Bologna, Parma, Sampdoria, Udinese, and Palermo.

The soccer clubs are served by Lottomatica’s LISTTICKET division, which sells more than 5 million tickets each year. Most of Lottomatica’s business comes from the sports market.

Eventim’s saying the deal could mean a lot of back-office savings, and also the opportunity to grow Lottomatica’s 1,000- outlet box office chain.

The financial details of TicketOne’s takeover of LISTTICKET weren’t disclosed.
