The Who’s Last Blast
The Who are planning to record some new songs before heading out on the act’s 50th anniversary tour of the UK.

The group has announced The Who Hits 50 tour will see them playing the hits that lit up a long career, such as “I Can’t Explain,” “My Generation,” “Substitute” and many more.
“This is the beginning of the long goodbye,” singer Roger Daltrey told BBC News. “We can’t go on touring forever … it could be open-ended, but it will have a finality to it.
“We’ll stop touring before we stop playing,” he said, admitting that touring is “incredibly tough on the body.”
The Who’s original farewell tour was in 1982.
Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend announced the act plans to record and tour at a launch event at Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London, where they played a short acoustic set.
The new final tour opens in Dublin Nov. 26 and ends at The O2 in London Dec. 17.
Tickets for the AEG Live-promoted dates go on sale July 4.
