Miley Cyrus Extends Bangerz Tour Downunder
The Bangerz album reached No. 1 in Australia, with “Wrecking Ball” certified quadruple platinum and “We Can’t Stop” triple platinum.
Dutch EDM producer Hardwell, a highlight of this year’s Future Music festival, returns solo through Frontier Touring. Hardwell, who this year led DJ Mag’s Top 100, plays three major outdoor shows – Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, The Domain in Sydney and The Riverstage in Brisbane Oct. 3-5. Fellow Dutch producer Kill The Buzz will open.
Frontier also confirmed Los Angeles’ Kina Grannis, whose 2012 tour was a sellout, plays four theatre and club stops July 12-20. Her July 12 date at The Wintergarden in Auckland marks her New Zealand debut. Live Nation has Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson on a solo run performing the Thick As A Brick album as well as other Tull hits.
Anderson performs three theatre shows Dec. 11-15. Live Nation teams with Artist Voice to bring London-based Aussie group Howling Bells back for its first headline tour since 2011. The group does three club shows Sept. 6-12. Making a return is UB40, with three theatres and an outdoor show Dec. 5-11. The dates are through One World Entertainment.
