NZ’s Streets of Laredo Kicks Off NA Dates
Dine Alone Records signed New Zealand indie-folk group Streets of Laredo, which is based in Brooklyn.
The seven-piece formed out of New Zealand’s 1970s folk scene, based around brothers Daniel and Dave Gibson, and enjoyed a reputation for live shows blending jangly folk and foot stomping pop.
The act digitally released The Lonsdale Line EP with a full-length debut arriving in the fall.
Streets of Laredo kicked off a 24-date North American club run June 6 at Baltimore’s Ottobar.
The tour includes opening slots for Kaiser Chiefs and Cults, and also has a stop at Bonnaroo Music Festival and winds up July 12 at Middle East Upstairs, Boston.
