Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare 2
The “Ultimate Halloween Horror Event” is a collaboration between the musician/film director/screenwriter and haunted house producer Steve Kopelman.
After scaring the crap out of Pomona, Calif., during its 2013 debut, the Nightmare will celebrate the 2014 Halloween Season in Scottsdale, Ariz., at WestWorld Sept. 19-20, 26-27; Oct. 3-4, 10-12, 16-19, 23-26, 30-31 and Nov. 1.
Just like the debut, the Nightmare features three attractions based on horror films Zombie wrote/directed. The 2012 flick “The Lords of Salem” inspired “The Lords Of Salem In Total Black Out,” which is just the haunted house for those scared of the dark, claustrophobic or afraid of the unknown.
Get ready to laugh, scream and/or cry as the world of 2003’s “House of 1000 Corpses” and the 2005 sequel “The Devil’s Rejects” comes to life with “Captain Spaulding’s Clown School in 3D.”
And, with “The Devil’s Rejects,” guests will have the chance to help state troopers search for “the murderous, backwoods Firefly family,” wanted for more than 75 homicides and disappearances.
The freaky fun continues at the Great American Nightmare’s Bloody Boulevard, with freak shows, musical entertainment, roaming characters, themed food and beverages, games and vendors. Rob Zombie opens the series with a one-night-only concert Sept. 19.
“The first year was such a blast. I am thrilled to be able to take the Great American Nightmare to a new city this year. My only goal is to make it even sicker than last year,” Rob Zombie says.
“We’re excited to be bringing Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare to WestWorld of Scottsdale,” says Great American Nightmare producer Steve Kopelman. “While we really appreciate the tremendous support we received in Southern California, we felt it was our responsibility to bring the terror to as many different people and markets as possible. Great American Nightmare 2014 will build upon the foundation established last year and promise to be bigger and bloodier.”
Tickets go on sale Friday the 13th (of course). Each ticket includes access to all haunted house attractions and the Bloody Boulevard activities. Tickets for opening night include the Rob Zombie concert.
A limited number of VIP packages will be available.
