Modest Mouse Modestly Announces Dates
We’re still waiting on news about a new LP. As we pointed out in March, Modest Mouse hasn’t let out as much as a squeak about the new tunes on any of its social media accounts since telling fans last year that it was canceling its European tour to continuing working on its forthcoming album. In June 2013 the band promised to make it up to fans and said new music was coming in 2014. Modest Mouse’s most recent studio album is 2007’s We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank.
Here’s the plan for the summer tour:
July 11 – Saugerties, N.Y., Winston Farm (The Hudson Project)
July 12 – Columbus, Ohio, The LC Pavilion
July 13 – Kansas City, Mo., Uptown Theater
July 16 – Missoula, Mont., Big Sky Brewing Amphitheater
July 17 – Boise, Idaho, Idaho Botanical Garden
July 22 – Calgary, Alberta, MacEwan Conference And Event Centre
July 24 – Edmonton, Alberta, Shaw Conference Centre
July 25 – Regina, Saskatchewan, Conexus Arts Centre
July 26 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, O’Brian’s Event Centre
July 28 – Winnipeg, Manitoba, Burton Cummings Theatre
July 31 – London, Ontario, London Music Hall
Aug. 1 – Toronto, Ontario, Echo Beach
Aug. 2 – Montreal, Quebec, Parc Jean Drapeau (Osheaga Festival)
Aug. 9 – Queens, N.Y., Forest Hills Stadium (appearing with Brand New)
Mimicking Birds supports all dates. Kevin Drew joins the Canadian portion of the outing.
A presale for select dates begins Wednesday, June 4. General onsales are scheduled throughout the week.
You can also find the band at Pemberton Music Festival, which takes place July 16-20 in Whistler, British Columbia. The daily schedule hasn’t been unveiled yet.
