Trace Adkins’ Summer Plans
Adkins’ rough year started in January when he consumed alcohol during the Country Cruising cruise after a reported 10 years of sobriety. He canceled the rest of his appearances on the cruise and entered alcohol rehab.
In February Adkins’ dad died, according to The Star-Ledger, and the next month his wife of 17 years filed for divorce.
“I’m excited, recharged and ready to get back on the road,” Adkins says. “I owe a debt of gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of encouragement and support over the past few months. It’s hard to put into words how much comfort you take from hearing ‘We’ve got your back.’ So these shows are for you guys – thanks.”
The Star-Ledger notes that Adkins plans on showing off some new songs he’s recently written as well as selections from his back catalogue.
