George Strait announces another “Cowboy Rides Away” date … Crosby, Stills & Nash add a few more nights … Chance The Rapper cancels this week’s gigs … Paul McCartney’s equipment snafu … Another Time, Another Place calls off its tour … Yonder Mountain String Band splits with its mandolinist.
Fans have one more chance to see George Strait take the stage during his final tour. This week the recently crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year and reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year added a June 5 show in Hidalgo, Texas, at the State Farm Arena to the final leg of “The Cowboy Rides Away Tour.”

The trek wraps June 7 in Arlington, Texas, with special guest appearances from Jason Aldean, Asleep At The Wheel, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack.
A limited number of fan club seats for the June 5 show will go on sale April 29 at 10 a.m. CDT. The general onsale is scheduled May 2 at 10 a.m. CDT.
Crosby, Stills & Nash’s upcoming tour also expanded just a bit this week. CSN’s summer excursion launches July 2 in Bethlehem, Pa., and runs through early October.
With the addition of a July 11 performance at the Beacon Theatre, The guys will now play three nights at the New York City venue. Plus, the group has added two nights in Oregon – Sept. 16 at Portland’s Keller Auditorium and Sept. 17 at Eugene’s Cuthbert Amphitheatre.

Presale tickets for the NYC gig are available now. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, April 25 at 10 a.m. EDT.
Eugene’s presale begins April 30 at 10 a.m. PDT, followed by the general onsale May 2.
Portland’s presale is scheduled May 7 at 10 a.m. PDT.
After missing his appearance at Coachella on Sunday because of illness, Chance The Rapper is now nixing plans for the next few days.
His management released a statement explaining that when he was hospitalized on Sunday after waking up with a high fever and not being able to speak because of the inflammation of his throat.
“Chance has since returned to his home in L.A. and is recovering. His doctors have come to the conclusion that this illness was caused by a combination of the flu virus and tonsillitis. Chance is due to see a specialist this week to determine whether or not surgery is required.”

With the remainder of this week’s shows called off, that means Chance will miss his appearance at
Paul McCartney is playing Santiago, Chile, tonight to make up for the show he was supposed to do on Monday at Movistar Arena.
Macca told fans he was forced to postpone Monday’s show because “the jumbo jet carrying all my equipment for the show has gone technical and will not arrive in Santiago in time for the show.” The former Beatle noted that he was upset about having to reschedule and was “looking forward to having a rocking time in Santiago.”

Yonder Mountain String Band is now a three-piece band.
The band posted a statement on its website announcing that the mandolinist/vocalist Jeff Austin is no longer in the lineup.

“As of today, all future YMSB shows will be performed with Adam Aijala (guitar, vocals), Ben Kaufmann (bass, vocals), and David Johnston (banjo, vocals). We will welcome exciting special guests throughout the rest of the year and we look forward to a new permanent line-up in 2015. YMSB fully supports Jeff Austin and his emerging solo career.
“Yonder Mountain String Band will perform all scheduled dates throughout 2014 with the new line up and special guests. Jeff Austin will be announcing more dates for his solo endeavors in the coming months. The band wants the fans to know that this decision did not come easily, and we’ll certainly keep all of our fans up to date with the new Yonder band-member line-up information.”
Fans can forget about seeing All Saints, East 17, Atomic Kitten, Let Loose, Big Brovaz and Jenny Berggren on the road together because the “Another Time, Another Place” excursion has been scratched without much explanation.
The Manchester Evening News reports that the cancellation was blamed on “unforeseen circumstances” and notes that the tour’s official website has been shut down.
The outing was supposed to travel through the U.K. in November.
