Swizz Beatz Inks Deal With UTA
Producer, entrepreneur and art collector Swizz Beatz has signed with UTA for representation in all areas.
His management is still Monique Blake of Swizz Beatz Productions. He was previously signed to CAA.
Swizz Beats already presented the “Dreamweavers” exhibit at UTA’s Artist Space gallery in Beverly Hills, just 200 yards from the steps of UTA’s main office building.
“I am excited to continue creating history with the UTA team!” Swizz Beatz said in a statement. “What we did with Dreamweavers was just a peek into where we want to go with the creativity. ‘Let the creatives create’ is the cornerstone of what myself and The Dean Collection are built on, and with UTA as my partner I know my wings will span even further to do just that…CREATE!”
Swizz Beats’ last album, Poison, was released in 2018 and he was recently featured in the Recording Academy’s We Are Music campaign. He rose to prominence as a producer for Ruff Ryders Entertainment in the 90s, most notably for DMX.
He headlined a show with Bryan-Michael Cox in Springfield, Mass., in September, and went on an arena tour with Ruff Ryders in 2017.
Swizz announced earlier this year that he and his wife Alicia Keys want to transform a 110-acre former Exxon Mobil plant in Macedon, N.Y., into a Music & Art Campus to include a performing arts center, practice facilities, classrooms, a cafeteria, office space and the couple’s art collection.
In the art world, Swizz Beatz founded The Dean Collection, hosts the No Commission Art Fair and has served on the Brooklyn Museum’s Board of Trustees since 2015. He is also involved in numerous philosophical endeavors.
