Junkyard, the power rock quintet out of Los Angeles, today announced its “Summertime Blooze Tour,” a series of dates that will see the band playing club dates in the Midwest and East Coast (dates below)

In 1989 Junkyard burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut release on Geffen Records which featured  the MTV Hip Clip of the Week “Hollywood.” Receiving heavy rotation on both MTV and on rock radio put the band among the forefront of the crop of rock bands coming out of LA in the late-80s.

Multiple tours with the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Black Crowes (who supported the band on their first US tour) soon followed and the follow up release Sixes, Sevens and Nine featured the radio hit “All the Time In The World” as well as the ballad “Slipping Away” co-written by legendary songwriter Steve Earle.

The shifting musical winds saw the band go in to a prolonged hiatus but the release of their third official release on Acetate Records High Water in the Spring of 2017 charted at No. 24 on the Billboard Hard Rock Sales Chart and garnered glowing reviews and  rekindled interest in the band as a live act and led to multiple dates across the US as well as two UK tours.

Now the band is set to embark on a nearly two week run of shows beginning in Indianapolis on July 31 and ending in Buford GA (just outside Atlanta) on August 11. In between the band will play clubs throughout the northeast including Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Syracuse and New Bedford, NH among others.

There are also plans for a fall release on Acetate Records of Old Habits Die Hard, a collection of never officially released recordings from the early 90’s of songs that were meant for a third Geffen Records album. Produced by Rob Schnapf and Tom Rothrock the record will feature the  original band lineup including (and current Bad Religion member) Brian Baker as well as what turned out to be the first appearance of current guitarist/songwriter Tim Mosher.

Junkyard will be out on and off for the remainder of the year (and into 2020) in support of Old Habits Die Hard but the “Summertime Blooze Tour” offers Junkyard’s Midwest and East Coast fans a chance to get up close and have a night of hard punk and roll.
