Guns N’ Roses Adds North American Fall Headlining Dates

One of music’s most successful reunion tours ever added more dates on Monday. Guns N’ Roses announced eight U.S. fall concerts to round out a calendar that includes several North American festival plays this September and October.

The hard-rock band’s fall string begins Sept. 25 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. From there, GNR will hit several cities that its reunion tour, which kicked off in spring 2016, hasn’t yet touched: Jacksonville, Fla.; Wichita, Kan.; Lincoln, Neb.; Oklahoma City; and Salt Lake City.

The string of newly announced dates – and Guns N’ Roses announced 2019 dates in general – conclude with two nights at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Nov. 1 and 2. The gigs will be the band’s “most intimate” since its 2017 show at New York’s Apollo Theater, according to a press release.

Sin City’s T-Mobile Arena hosted the band’s second and third reunion shows on April 8 and 9, 2016; the gigs sold 28,849 tickets and grossed $6.27 million. The band returned to that venue on Nov. 17, 2017, selling 14,250 tickets and grossing $1.91 million.

Guns N’ Roses new dates fill out a calendar that includes headlining appearances at Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Ky. (Sept. 28); Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas (Oct. 4 and 11); Voodoo Festival in New Orleans (Oct. 25); and the first Exit 111 Festival, debuting this October at Bonnaroo’s home in Manchester, Tennessee.

Since Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan reunited in 2016 for the “Not In This Lifetime” tour, Guns N’ Roses has proven a live juggernaut, grossing $563.3 million through the end of 2018. That included a No. 2 finish on Pollstar‘s Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart in 2017, with $292.5 million grossed; the band finished No. 4 and No. 16 on the same chart in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

“It’s been an amazing ride, clearly,” UTA partner Ken Fermaglich, who represents Guns N’ Roses, told Pollstar in June 2018. “It’s a whole new day for the band and we believe in their ability to do incredible things and we’re seeing it come to life. … Due to the fact that the band was absent for all of those years and didn’t tour together that absence made the heart grow fonder for the fan and for the consumer to want to see it.”
