Chaka Khan Signs With ICM Partners For Worldwide Representation
Chaka Khan has signed with ICM Partners for agency representation in all areas, the company announced today (May 15). She’ll be represented by a team of agents led by partner and head of music Mark Siegel. The 10-time Grammy Award-winner continues to be managed by her creative director George Fuller.
“Chaka Khan is more than an artist; she is a world-renowned icon,” Siegel said in the announcement. “Her timeless music and unmatched style has blazed a path for generations of music creators, and we are excited to have the privilege to be a part of her incredible team.”
Khan’s career has spanned nearly five decades. Known for her rare ability to sing in a number of musical genres, including R&B, pop, rock, gospel, country, world music, and classical, she has released 22 albums and racked up 10 No. 1 songs on the Billboard charts, seven RIAA-certified gold singles, and 10 RIAA-certified gold and platinum albums.
Khan continues to create new projects and earn new honors. She released her 12th studio album, Hello Happiness, in February with the singles “Like Sugar” and the title track “Hello Happiness.” Khan also made history once again when she was named Grand Marshal of the 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade, making her not only the first African-American Grand Marshal in the traditional New Year’s Day celebration’s 130-year history but the first Grand Marshal to perform during the parade.
Khan will hit the road this summer with Michael McDonald, and she most recently made an appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. She’s slated to appear at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Rivinia Festival in Highland Park, Ill.; and select solo dates on her 2019 calendar to date.
In addition, Khan, in collaboration with Fuller, launched in April a full collection of Chaka Khan-inspired wigs and hairpieces for the everyday, modern female consumer, powered by Indique Hair.
