Logic announced a headlining tour that will take him to North American arenas this fall.
Logic announced a fall tour tour Monday that will take him to North American arenas in October and November.
“The Confessions of a Dangerous Mind Tour” kicks off Oct. 5 at Vancouver’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre and concludes Nov. 16 at Coliseum at Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
Along the way, Logic will hit major arenas including San Francisco’s new Chase Center (Oct. 13) and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center (Nov. 8). He’ll also headline Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre (Oct. 16), where he sold 9,230 tickets and grossed $387,381 in August 2017.
J.I.D. and YBN Cordae will provide support for most dates on the tour, which Live Nation is producing.
Logic’s most recent trek, last summer’s “Bobby Tarantino vs Everybody” tour, hit North American sheds as well as New York’s Madison Square Garden, where Logic sold 11,167 tickets and grossed $791,375. The tour helped Logic secure a spot on Pollstar‘s Year End Top 200 North American Tours chart with a gross of $7.6 million.
At the end of the year, Logic manager Chris Zarou told Pollstar about the artist’s rapid career trajectory.
“He said, ‘To be honest, it just feels like another show, like just another step in the process,’” Zarou told Pollstar of the MSG headlining show. “It didn’t feel any different for him because he didn’t skip any steps. I say it to a lot of the younger artists we have, that if you put on your blinders and stay focused, one day you’ll wake up and be at Madison Square Garden. That’s really what happened with Logic. In six years we played six different caps, we went from a 400-cap room at SOB’s, to 600- to 800- to 1,200- to 3,000-capacity, then to a scaled-down Barclays Center and then the Garden.”
Logic also appeared on Pollstar’s top year end North American tours in 2017, grossing $6.8 million, and in 2016, when a co-headlining tour with G-Eazy grossed $8.8 million.
The tour follows a busy spring and summer for Logic, who has major festival plays scheduled at BottleRock, Boston Calling and Osheaga.
And “The Confessions of a Dangerous Mind Tour” completes a rapid ascent for the rapper, who was playing theaters in most markets as recently as early 2016.
Logic released his fifth studio album, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, on Friday. His first four studio albums all peaked in the top five of Billboard‘s albums chart, with 2017’s Everybody hitting No. 1 and 2018’s YSIV hitting No. 2. His March 2018 mixtape Bobby Tarantino II also topped the chart.
Much of Logic’s success follows his anthemic 2017 single “1-800-273-8255,” which featured Alessia Cara and Khalid, peaked at No. 3 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 and garnered a Grammy nomination or Song of the Year.
Tickets for Logic’s fall tour go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. Find the complete list of dates below.
